We lost to sectional finalist Grand Island 2-1 in 8 innings in the sectional semi-finals. Of course there is always the loss of players to graduation that you cannot replace. Emma Siegmann Senior CF- incredible range in the outfield and gets a great jump on the ball. New Players to watch out for: Freshmen Catcher Noelle Jurkowski, hitting leadoff and has speed around bases, great blocking and a strong arm. Sophomore Mac Marranca will play corners and has powerful bat, power hitter. Lexi Beller- LF–fast around bases, puts pressure on the D. Kat DeGuehery senior pitcher has a ton of spin on her pitches. Key Losses due to Graduation: 5 starting seniors were huge contributors to the success of our team last season. Great leadership and great role models. Already see their influence with 2023 team.
