Academe Improves to 2 – 0

The Academe of Aurora Panthers played host to West Seneca Christian School for the first home game of the season. Academe of Aurora must be enjoying their new gym, the Buffalo Niagara Court Center, after winning by scores of 25-7, 25-9 and 25-8.Academe was led by a strong performance from Anna Kubiak. Kubiak finished the match with 12 aces on 20 service attempts, 4 kills, 2 blocks and two assists. Cecilia Bowen added 6 aces and a kill, while Danielle Updike added 4 aces. The team looks like it’s beginning to hit its stride in Coach Madia’s second season at the helm. After two matches, Academe’s average margin of victory is above 16 points per set.
