Aurora Panthers Get First Conference Win on the Road!

The Aurora Panthers Girls Varsity Basketball Team went on the road for Conference Game 1 (NFCAA) and defeated the Central Baptist Lions 51-20.  The Lady Panthers outstanding defensive effort led to turnovers and many transition scoring opportunities. Veterans Danielle Updike (20pts) and Abby Kubiak (12pts) led the way offensively, while Anna Kubiak (2pts), Mary Updike (8pts), Abi Polkovitz (4pts) and Annie Bowen (4pts) all played a huge role in the tremendous defensive performance, holding the Lions leading scorer to just 6 points on the night.

“Our goal coming in was to limit what our opponent did well, and give our very best effort doing so.  I think we achieved what we set out to do.  I’m very proud of all of our players, their focus and determination. This was a total team win,” said Coach Jim Kubiak.

The Lady Panthers play Conference Game 2 against Cornerstone Christian this Friday, 12/2/16 at Buffalo Niagara Court Center (BNCC) at 4pm.
