Clarence Edges Niagara Wheatfield
The Red Devils scored two goals in the first period and added an insurance goal in the 3rd to hold off Niagara Wheatfield, 3-1 at Hockey Outlet.
Ethan Bishara had a goal and two assists to lead Clarence while Isaac Petrella made 11 saves in the win. Jack Vorreuter scored the first Red Devils goal and Jake Sweeney added one on the power play.
Trevor Conte had the lone goal for the Falcons.
WSW Wins in Season Debut
The Indians are off and running after a 4-3 win over Starpoint.
Ethan Parsons had the hat trick for WSW and added an assist. Parsons’ third goal came with 3:30 remaining in regulation.
Billy Coughlin had a goal and three assists for the Indians.
The Spartans trailed 3-1 heading into the third before Blake Dewey and Spencer Slote scored to tie the game at three apiece.
Griffin McAndrews made 28 saves for the win.
Hamburg Wins Battle of Bulldogs
Hamburg handed Kenmore East a 5-1 loss to improve their record to 1-1.
Tyler LaPorta scored the opening goal for Ken East but it was all Hamburg from there.
Nathan Holst scored less than a minute after LaPorta to tie the game 1-1.
In the 2nd period Hamburg scored a power play goal with just 10 seconds to go in the period and added another early in the 3rd.
Jared Walker made 26 saves for Hamburg.
Kull finished with a goal and two assists for Hamburg. Holst, Max Virga, Alex Bishop and Ryan Steiner also scored in the win.
Panthers and Lions Skate to a 2-2 Tie
Lockport carried a 1-0 lead into the third period against Sweet Home on Thursday night but could not hold on for the win. Sweet Home and Lockport traded early 3rd period goals before Tyler Goodwin evened things up with 4:25 remaining.
Blake Russo had the other Panther goal while James Robinson and Aiden Robins scored for the Lions.
Ian Burgess made 25 saves for Sweet Home while Lockport goalie Austin Bailor made 36.
