Boys Fed Hockey Roundup – Monday, January 29th

St. Mary’s 8, Frontier 3

The Lancer offense was on fire Monday evening in Hamburg. Alex Bialkowski finished with a goal and two assists in St. Mary’s 8-3 win over Frontier. Daniel Reif scored two goals giving him 6 on the season.

Kyle Karoleski made 12 saves to pick up the win.

Kyle Jarosz (2) and Danny Oar scored for the Falcons.

Grand Island 4, North Tonawanda 0

Brian O’Neill gave Grand Island an early 1-0 lead over North Tonawanda Monday night and the Vikings never looked back. Robbie Currie stopped all 11 shots faced to earn the shutout.

Dylan Russo, Mitchell Fusillo, and Tyler Hunt also scored for Grand Island.

St. Joe’s 3, Williamsville North 1

It came down to the final minutes between St. Joe’s and Williamsville North Monday night at HarborCenter. Mitch Floccare’s late tally proved to be the game winner as unbeaten St. Joe’s defeated the Spartans 3-1.

North goalie Henry Braun made 33 saves.

Connor McKendry scored the opening goal for the Marauders and Jack Gilbert added an empty netter to seal the deal.

Jacob Okulewicz notched the lone goal for the Spartans.

Bishop-Timon 5, Kenmore East 1

The Tigers scored two goals in the opening period en route to a 5-1 win over Kenmore East. Jake Blidy and Michael Sands each scored two goals and Jake Reid added another in the win. Blidy added an assist as well to give him a three-point night.

Tyler LaPorta scored for the Bulldogs.

Starpoint 3, Williamsville East 0

Joe LoBrutto scored short-handed halfway through the second period which proved to be the difference in this game. LoBrutto dangled his way through the Flames defense and buried a shot behind Flames netminder Liam Wojciechowski.

LoBrutto would finish with two goals while Max Ciepela added another in the Spartans win.

Wojciechowski finished with 23 saves on the night.
