The Favorite
Bennett Tigers
7-1 Overall, 6-0 in League Play
Since losing to Jamestown in the semifinal round last year the Tigers have been on a mission. Offensively they can put up as many points as anyone else in Section VI. The real reason they’ve been so successful in 2025 is the defense. If Bennett is going to reclaim the throne in Class AA, it’ll be because of how stingy their defense has been.
The Contenders
Lancaster Legends
6-2 Overall, 4-2 in League Play
For Lancaster it’ll be the most difficult road to Highmark Stadium of the Eric Rupp era to date. They’ll have to get through a tough, physical Niagara Falls program in order to have a chance to play Bennett for the right to play for the Sectional Title. Their senior QB is probably the best of the bunch in AA, but the Falls QB Michael Taylor still has a lot left in the tank and is tough to contain.
Jamestown Red & Green
5-3 Overall, 4-2 in League Play
One of the best running backs in the Section leads the Red & Green for the final time in his high school career. Chase Bonta is a tough cookie to bring down and not a bad linebacker either. This is a confident team, well coached and battle tested. They should handle Lockport before a rematch with OP, who beat them back in week 4.
Orchard Park Quakers
5-3 Overall, 4-2 in League Play
The Quakers are as solid a contender as Jamestown or Lancaster and with this running back Jherek Breske, it’s a team that could play the spoiler. This is not a dark horse. The Quakers are absolutely in the mix.
Dark Horse
Niagara Falls Wolverines
4-4 Overall, 2-4 in League Play
Too many undisciplined penalties to be considered a contender. Do they have the talent, yes. Are they tough enough, yes. Can they put it together for 4 quarters against the elite teams in Class AA? They have not been able to do that in quite some time. But the ingredients are there. They just have to focus.
Stadium Prediction
Bennett 26, Jamestown 24
