Fed Hockey Saturday – Quick Hits

The Northtown Center was rockin’ Saturday afternoon as several power house Fed teams squared off.

Lancaster/Will North Div 1

In the early game the Lancaster Legends overcame a two-goal deficit to beat Williamsville North 4-2 in a highly anticipated Division 1 match-up. Chris Blachowski scored 2 goals while Connor Carow and Jeff Coons also scored for the Legends.

St. Joe’s/Niagara Wheatfield Div 1

St. Joe’s carried as 3-0 lead into the 3rd period against Niagara Wheatfield and hung on to defeat the Falcons 4-1. Jeremy Ienco had a goal and an assist for the Marauders while Ben Weppner made 14 saves in his Fed debut. Trevor Conschafter had a goal and assist as well for St. Joe’s. Falcons goaltender Dom Tallarico made 20 saves. Niagara Wheatfield travels downstate next weekend for the Pelham tournament while the Marauders are back in action Monday night down at the Harborcenter when they play Lancaster.

KenWest/Lew-Port Div 4

The Kenmore West Blue Devils improved their record to 2-0 after defeating Lew-Port 4-1. Sophomore Michael Barker scored 2 goals while another sophomore Ethan Yotter added another. Anthony Alvear had 2 assists. Matt Bogacki made 21 saves to pick up his 2nd victory between the pipes. The Lancers fall to 2-1. KW is back in action tonight where they play North Tonawanda at Harborcenter.

No.Tona/Amherst Div 4

Jason Lindhurst scored two goals and added 2 assists in NT’s 7-2 win over Amherst. Trent Woodroe had 2 goals as well. Tigers goaltender Zach Clor faced 49 shots, stopping 42. Nick Smith and Ryan Stark had the goals for Amherst. The Lumberjacks are 1-1 and face Ken West Sunday night.
