Recapping Yesterday’s Games

Clarence 6, Amherst 1

Maggie Kelkenberg led the Clarence offense with 4 goals and 1 assist in their 6-1 victory over Amherst. Morgan Berndt and Katelyn Scioli also scored for the Lady Red Devils. Madison Leeper (2), Elise Bearance (1) and Kailee Godesiabois (1) recorded assists in the contest.

Clarence improves to 11-1 on the year and will host Williamsville South on Wednesday. Amherst will host Eden on Friday.

Holland 0, Iroquois 6

Madison Miranda earned her fourth shutout of the year in Iroquois’ 6-0 win over visiting Holland. Maddie Kasten recorded her first hat trick of the season. Quinn Wierzbowski added a goal of her own and two assists. Ava D’Amato and Elizabeth Fonfara also scored for the Lady Chiefs.

Iroquois, who remains unbeaten at home, improves to 9-2 overall and will head to East Aurora on Wednesday. Holland will host Starpoint on Wednesday.

Williamsville East 2, Lancaster 0

The Lady Flames improved to 8-3 with a 2-0 victory over Lancaster on Monday. Chelsea McNamara and Jenna Cavaleri scored 1 goal each; Laura Kaplan tallied an assist. Grace Burker’s 4 saves earned her a shutout.

Williamsville East and Lancaster will both be making trips down to the Southtowns on Wednesday: Will-East will make the trip to West Seneca West; Lancaster will visit Hamburg.

Eden @ East Aurora

Williamsville North @ West Seneca East

Orchard Park 4, Starpoint 3

OP scored after time ran out on a corner. Molly McGowan was assisted by Sarah Puskar to score the winning goal.

With the win, OP improves to 5-5-1 on the year and will host West Seneca East on Wednesday. Starpoint will visit Holland tomorrow afternoon.

West Seneca West 0, Williamsville South 6

The Lady Billies blanked West Seneca West to remain on the heels of Iroquois in a race for the top seed in Class B. A win against Clarence on Wednesday will, at minimum, move them into a tie for first place in Class B. If Iroquois drops their Friday contest at Pioneer, Will South would sit atop the Class B standings.

West Seneca West will host Williamsville East on Wednesday.

Sweet Home 3, Hamburg 0

Julia Galante, Annie Saunders and Kylie Tolsma each scored for the Lady Panthers to help their team earn a 3-0 win over Hamburg. Maria Ball led the team with two assists. Emma Tinney earned the shutout in goal.

Sweet Home will visit Williamsville North on Wednesday; Hamburg will host Lancaster.
