Iroquois blanked West Seneca East 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon – holding their opponents to a single shot on goal. Their relentless offensive effort was led by Quinn Wierzkowski who was able to put four points on the board.
Iroquois improves to 4-2 overall and will host Sweet Home on Friday afternoon. West Seneca East will travel to Starpoint on Friday.
Orchard Park and West Seneca West ultimately played to a 2-2 tie. Claire Farry (West Seneca West) scored the equalizer after Jesse Peters (Orchard Park) put the Lady Quakers up by one goal in regulation. After neither team was able to score in overtime, the contest was sent to a shootout.
Gabby Desimone scored for the Lady Indians with her 1v1 to put her team up by 1 in the shootout. Orchard Park’s last 1v1 was taken by Karli Gregoire; she scored to preserve a tie and the Lady Quakers’ 3rd place standing in ECIC I.
Orchard Park will play host to Clarence later this afternoon. West Seneca West will also play this afternoon as they make the trip out to Holland.
Eden grabbed a close 2-1 victory over Sweet Home. Emma Tambacas scored in regulation; Emma Cooper scored the winning goal in overtime for the Lady Raiders.

Lancaster improves to 4-1-1 overall with a 2-1 win over Starpoint. Jordan Rokitka scored the game winning goal. Madison Tadusz saved a stroke in her nine save performance. Lexi Odrobina also scored for the Lady Legends.

What To Watch For
Clarence and Orchard Park will play this afternoon. The Lady Quakers will need to find a way to slow down Maggie Kelkenberg and the Clarence offense. Kelkenberg is currently the leading goal scorer and ranked 2nd in assists across all of Section VI.
Barker will be making the trip to Roy-Hart later this afternoon for a battle of the top two teams in the league. A win at Roy-Hart will allow them to claim the top spot in the league. However, to do so they will have to find a way to score against a Lady Rams team led by goalie Jamie Bower. Bower just happens to be the only goalie in Section VI to play every minute of the season and has yet to give up a goal.
Roy-Hart’s defensive game is complimented by the 6th highest scoring offense in Section VI (#2 in the N-O league). On the flipside, Barker’s 31 team goals currently rank 3rd in Section VI (#1 in the N-O league). Their offense features the 2nd leading goal scorer in Section VI, Katrina Clare, with 11 goals thus far. If there is any team in the N-O league that has a chance to break Roy-Hart’s winning streak, it’s Barker.
