Holland will now head to Class C for Sectionals with a first-round matchup against Barker or Roy-Hart (depending on the outcome of tonight’s game between the two teams).

This game was much more than your typical ECIC matchup. You can read more about Holland Field Hockey’s bigger purpose here: They Played For Marv

What to Watch For Tonight

Roy-Hart @ Barker

Roy-Hart and Barker will go head-to-head tonight for the N-O League Championship and #1 seed in the Class C playoffs.

Barker is the only team to score on a Roy-Hart defense led by senior goalie Jamie Bower. Bower’s 73 saves and 2 goals against give her a Section VI-leading 97% save percentage.

On the flipside, they’re going up against a Barker offense that has scored 64 goals and is currently the #1 ranked offense in Class C (#3 ranked offense in Section VI). Katrina Clare’s 23 goals currently rank 2nd in all of Section VI.

The last time these two teams played it ended with Barker narrowly escaping the Lady Rams 2-1. You can expect another close game tonight that will likely come down to the wire between the top teams in the Niagara-Orleans League.

Hamburg @ Williamsville South

The Lady Billies currently sit at 4th place in Class B. A win over the Lady Bulldogs would move them into 3rd place, just in time for playoffs.
