Barker 2, Medina 1
Barker narrowly escaped Medina with a 2-1 victory yesterday to remain atop the Niagara-Orleans League standings.
The Lady Mustangs were able to slow down the Barker offense and limit them to 1 goal (Lena Fazzolari – assist from Madison Gancasz) in the first half.
As the second half kicked off, Guinevere Schalck scored a quick equalizer for Medina at the 24:15 mark. The tie was short-lived as Emily Wagner would score her second goal of the season (assisted by Lena Fazzolari) a few minutes later.
With the win, Barker improves to 6-1 in league play and 7-1 overall. The Lady Raiders will be traveling down to Pennsylvania for non-league contests with Mt. Lebanon and Upper St. Clair on Friday / Saturday respectively.
Medina slips to 4-3 in league play (6-3 overall) and will head over to neighboring Roy-Hart on Thursday to take on the Lady Rams who currently sit atop the Class C standings after their win against Kenmore-City Honors yesterday.
Roy-Hart 7, Kenmore-City Honors 0
Roy-Hart improved to 8-1 overall with a 7-0 win over Kenmore-City Honors. Alexis Lovewell scored her first hat-trick of the season. McKenzie Rothwell (2), Ellory Brown and Miah Glena also scored for Roy-Hart. Jamie Bower earned the shutout in goal.

Maggie Kelkenberg of Clarence is the first player this season to lead Section VI in both goals (16) and assists (9).
