Frank’s Must See Games For Week 6

Class AA

Orchard Park Quakers (5-0) At Lancaster Legends (4-1) | Foyle-Kling Field | Friday 7:00 p.m.

The Legends host the unbeaten Quakers in a dynamite match-up of AA heavyweights. These are two teams that do not care for one another and should be a nasty one. Whoever comes out on top of this one is the odds on favorite to win the Section.

Class A

Grand Island Vikings (2-2) at Starpoint Spartans (3-2) | Tudor Stadium | Friday 7:00 p.m. | Audio Broadcast: mixlr.com/wnyathletics

The Vikings need a win to have a chance at the playoff’s and the Spartans just need a win. Starpoint has two straight losses to division opponents and have surrendered 94 points in that span. The Vikings have also lost their last two games. They were beaten last Friday 44-31 at Cheektowaga of Class B.

Class B

Dunkirk Marauders (2-1) at Iroquois Chiefs (2-1) | Friday 7:00 p.m.

The Marauders have won three straight and are back in the playoff picture. Iroquois is coming off a 35-0 non-league win over Alden. Both teams are playing their best football of the season. Winner moves on for a shot at the Section VI Class B title.

Class C

Silver Creek/Forestville Black Knights (2-2) at Wilson Lakemen (4-0) | Walter J. Hutchison Field | Friday 7:00 p.m.

The Lakemen are supposed to win this game but nobody at Silver Creek/Forestville wants to hear any of that. They have a slimmer of hope to reach the postseason but they have to go up to Wilson and steal a victory over the unbeaten Lakemen.

The Wilson defense is legit, very tough and quick to the ball but they will have their hands full trying to bring down Angel Caraballo. This will be a better game than most think.

Class D

Not much going on here except non-leaguers.

Monsignor Martin

Small Division

Cardinal O’Hara (0-5) at Bishop Timon (0-4) | Friday 7:00 p.m.

O’Hara is looking to rebound after a loss to St. Mary’s of Lancaster while Timon is also looking for a win. It’s a rough looking division due to low numbers but there are still some pretty good athletes on both sides of the ball.
