Recently, the St. Joe’s Varsity Lacrosse team found themselves with some goalie issues. But not for poor play, the injury bug hit a pair of Marauder goaltenders. On Saturday, the lacrosse team lost a highly-touted match 13-5 to Pittsford of Section V.
Kellen Pulera had 2 goals while, Jack Lalley, Hunter Parucki, and Ryan McGorry each scored one for St. Joe’s in the loss. It’s been a good season so far for the Marauders but the team finds itself in trouble in the goaltending department.
Sophomore Jack Rapini is out with a broken thumb injury sustained during a recent practice. Senior Jalen Lee is battling an injury with his arm but is playing through it. Also, senior goaltender Donovan Boshier is out with a concussion. The team plays against rival Canisius on Tuesday May 9th at St. Joe’s home turf.
If St. Joe’s wins this game against the Crusaders they win the league and have a good start to their pursuit of a state title.
I was given the opportunity to speak with Coach Hudecki and he said that he expects a lot out of his players and hopes that this season they can bring home that state title.
