Jamestown, NY – The Randolph Cardinals wasted little time going to work Friday night against rival Frewsburg in the Section VI Class C championship game. The Cardinals never trailed in this game winning 70-47, capturing their 4th Section VI Class C title under head coach Kevin Hind.
“This one is special, especially after last years loss here,” Hind said. “I’ve been with a lot of the kids on this team since they were in 1 st or 3 rd grade, it’s been a long time, over a hundred AAU and travel games, these guys played great tonight.”
Carson Conley led all scorers with 24 points and was named the co-player of the game along with Jaiden Huntington. Both players were freshman the last time Randolph won a sectional title.
“It was nice being able to contribute this time,” Conley said.
The Cardinals will now move onto the far west regionals that will be played next weekend at Gates-Chili in Rochester, NY.
