St. Francis Announces 2019 Hall of Fame Class

2019 Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Mr. Steve Otremba, St. Francis High School Director of Athletics, announced that four new members will be inducted into the St. Francis High School Athletic Hall of Fame.  The Hall of Fame is named in memory of The Very Rev. Rufinus Niedzwiecki, one of Western New York’s legendary Sports figures.  In over 20 years at his alma mater, St. Francis High School, Fr. Rufinus built a reputation as one of the area’s finest and most knowledgeable coaches. An outstanding basketball and baseball player, Fr. Rufinus was a member of the first class to graduate from St. Francis High School in 1931.  He was inducted into the Western New York Baseball Hall of Fame.

Inductees include:  Zak Kedron ’05-Football, Wrestling & Lacrosse; Kevin Roth ’07-Basketball & Baseball; Vinny Scarsella ’07- Hockey & Baseball and Anthony Day ’09-Hockey.

The induction ceremony will take place at Michaels Banquet Facility on Thursday, June 6, 2019 as a part of the school’s annual athletic banquet.
