Akron 34, Alden 22

  • The Tigers score their first win of the season. Colin Miller had 150 yards rushing and a score. Blake Gerstung caught 7 balls for 60 yards and 2 scores.


Barker/Royalton-Hartland 29, Medina 22

  • Raiders take advantage of 5 turnovers in big win over Medina. Eden/NC comes to town Friday.


Batavia 54, Cleveland Hill 6

  • Eagles lost a rough one to a Section V power.


Bennett 62, Hutch-Tech 0

  • Jack Eskridge had a rushing and receiving TD for the Tigers. He also had a punt returned for a score but was called back due to a penalty.


Chautauqua Lake/West/Broc 44, Springville 0

  • The Eagles offense is averaging 45 points a game thus far.


Cheektowaga 26, Lake Shore 14

  • The Chargers scored a nice road win last Thursday. Hae'von Lee, Kaliq Figueroa and Aiden Smith all had TDs for Cheektowaga.


Depew 28, Olean 26

  • The Wildcats get a bounce back win on the road. Zach Bridenbaker had 189 rushing yards and a score.


Eden/North Collins 43, John F. Kennedy 14

  • The Raiders stay undefeated with the win over JFK. The Nellis brothers Silas and Isaiah combined for 245 receiving yards and three TDs.


Falconer/Cassadaga Vly/MG 35, Fredonia 0

  • The Herd get it done at the Orange Bowl.


Franklinville/Ellicott/WV 28, Allegany-Lime/Hin 12

  • The Titans crack the win column for the first time this season.


Health Science/Buff Sc/GC 26, Grand Island 0

  • The Falcons defense stepped up Friday night big time.


Iroquois 48, Dunkirk 14

  • Another record breaking day for Justus Kleitz. The senior QB is now the all-time leader in passing yards here in WNY with 7,700. Kleitz is 5 TD passes away from tying Joe Licata's (Will South) all-time TD record of 87.


Jamestown 33, Lancaster 26

  • Great ending to a pretty good game. First win over Lancaster since 2014 for Jamestown. Chase Bonta 4 TDs, Luis Diaz Pick-6 swung the pendulum.

Lackawanna 38, Albion 0

  • The Steelers are 2-0 in their division, 2-1 overall. Iroquois comes to town Saturday, huge test for that defense.


Maryvale 42, East Aurora/Holland 20

  • The Flyers built up a comfortable lead early and never looked back. Carter Woods ran for 185 yards and 2 TDs.


McKinley 54, Hamburg 8

  • The Macks improve to 2-1, RB Anthony Moore rushed for 2 scores and had 155 yards on the ground. Kaulaugn Ford had 161 yards rushing and a score as well.


Newfane 38, Cattaraugus-Little Valley 6

  • Mac Capen had a TD run and made a pick on defense. Jake Morello had 3 catches for 32 yards and a score.


Niagara Falls 28, Niagara Wheatfield 18

  • The Wolverines are 2-1 with the win over NW. Michael Taylor was named a Connolly Cup Top Performer after throwing a TD and rushing for two more.


North Tonawanda 42, Amherst 12

  • The Lumberjacks picked up their 2nd win of the year at Amherst. Andrew Cinquino had a nice day going 13-of-15 passing for 196 yards and three TD passes.


Orchard Park 34, Lockport 0

The Quakers offense kicked it up a notch last Friday, but the defense turned in a great performance also intercepting 5 passes and holding the Lions offense to under 200 yards.


Pioneer 20, Starpoint 14

  • Isaac Platt made his return Friday and went right to work after missing the first two games of the season. The senior finished with 152 yards rushing and a TD, defensively he made 10 tackles.

Randolph 15, Silver Creek/Forestville 6

  • The Cardinals got a late TD against Silver Creek/Forestville to take home the win, improve to 3-0. Reagan Smith led the defense with 9 total tackles.


Salamanca 21, Clymer/Sherman/Panama 14

  • The Warriors defense stopped CSP twice inside the red zone to close this one out.


Southwestern/Frewsburg 34, Portville/CR/BR 0

  • The Markham brothers were a problem all night against Portville. If Roger wasn't catching TD passes, brother Zach was blowing someone up at the line of scrimmage, he finishes with a sack, INT and 2 fumble recoveries. He was everywhere.

Sweet Home 21, Frontier 0

  • Panthers get back in the win column after beating the Falcons on a rare Sat afternoon game. Quentin Wilhelm, Amarion Dixon and Elijah White all had touchdowns


West Seneca East 50, Lewiston-Porter 6

  • DJ Benker and the boys improve to 3-0. Benker only completed 7 passes but three were for TD's, I don't see a problem.


West Seneca West 21, Clarence 14

  • The Warhawks improve to 3-0 after a huge divisional win over the Red Devils. Micah Anderson finished with 11 total tackles and a forced fumble for WSW.

WNY Maritime/Tapestry 56, Tonawanda 18

  • Another great day for the Seahawks offense. Jaylin Coleman had 4 carriers for 138 yards and 3 TD's. EXCUSE ME? That's 34.5 yards per carry. Crazy.

Williamsville East 35, Kenmore East 6

  • The Flames improve to 3-0 overall, 2-0 in the division. Face a very tough McKinley team on Thursday. All eyes will be on that one. WNYO/MyTV with our own Joe Kraus on PxP.


Williamsville North 51, Kenmore West 6

  • Now that's the Will North team I've been expecting to see. 5 turnovers for the defense.


Williamsville South 32, South Park 12

  • Billies improve to 2-1 after a strong performance against the Sparks. Evan Zankl caught 3 TD passes. Phillip Gangi tossed 4 TD passes earning a Connolly Cup Top Performer for week 3.


Wilson 56, Gowanda/Pine Valley 22

  • Wilson had a plan and they executed almost to perfection Friday. They jumped out early and never looked back.

Bishop Kearney/Roch Acad 36, St. Mary’s 26

  • No report. Lancers fall to 0-3.


Bishop Timon-St Jude 33, Bill Crothers (CAN) 10

  • Great day for the Tigers, So. QB Marquis Harris threw four TDs and Christian Fulgham hauled in 3 of them earning a Connolly Cup Top Performer nomination.


Cardinal O’Hara 40, C.G. Finney 22

  • Josh Guerin threw 3 TD's for the Hawks who improve to 2-1 on the season.


Catholic Memorial (MA) 56, St. Francis 32

  • Not a huge surprise, Cath Mem is in a league of their own. The Red Raiders hung in there though and made it look good, especially QB Trent Buttles who finishes with 257 yards passing, three TD passes and a rushing TD. Dom Cook Jr. scored a rushing TD and also caught a TD pass.


St. Joseph’s Collegiate 41, St. Andrews (CAN) 0

  • The Marauders beat St. Anthony's (CAN) 41-0 Saturday, Stone Rozak had the play of the game with his Pick-6 before the end of the first half.


Walsh Jesuit (OH) 38, Canisius 0

  • Canisius had a rough day playing out of state against a perennial power. They'll be ready for Saturday at home against St. Joe's. Livestreamed on WNYAthletics
