Williamsville Advances to Girls Ice Hockey State Championship Game

One shot, One goal; a hat trick and a shutout are in the history books for Williamsville as they move to the 2020 NYSPHSAA Girls Varsity Championship Game.

Just over a minute into the game against Plattsburgh, Elizabeth Jackson scored assisted by Laura Kaplan and Ellie Schau.

Williamsville then put in three more goals in the first period to end it 4-0. Two of those were by Emma Roland and the last by Claire O’Donnell.

Williamsville’s Jenna Cavalieri and Lindsey Powers scored in the second and it ends 6-0.

Emma Roland puts in her third goal of the game in the third period ending the game 7-0.

Williamsville now advances to the Championship game against Clinton.

Due to the snow storm on Thursday teams had travel issues so the Semi-finals were moved to Saturday and now the Championship game will be played today (Sunday) at 5:45 p.m. at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid .
