WNY Athletics Boys Lacrosse Athlete Of the Week: Garrett Walker

West Seneca East sophomore Garrett Walker has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Lacrosse Athlete Of the Week for Week Four of the 2019 season (Monday, April 8th – Saturday, April 13th).

Walker has been a scoring machine all season long for the defending Class C champs. After six games, East is 3-3 against some solid competition and has played only one home contest.

On Monday, Garrett helped stifle an Amherst team coming off a huge win over Lake Shore with five goals and an assist, which was his second straight five goal game. Against Iroquois on Wednesday, Walker notched two goals in a loss to a dangerous Chiefs squad that East may see again in the postseason. Then, on Friday, Garrett helped the Trojans to a huge win in the team’s first home game with seven goals and three assists in a 23-11 victory over a very tough Lake Shore team.
