WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders: Keith Mixon

North Tonawanda junior Keith Mixon has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders for the weekend of Saturday, December 27th – Tuesday, December 30th, 2025.

Keith went 3-0 at the 57th Akron Holiday Varsity Tournament on Tuesday to claim the 175-pound title. He earned two technical falls on the way to the final where he was a second period winner by pin for 1st place. So far this season Keith is 15-1 and a big part of the lineup for the WNY #2 ranked large school Lumberjacks who are off to a 2-0 start in the NFL and are 7-3 overall going into the Section VI Duals. Mixon is a returning 4th place winner from the 2025 Section VI individual championships.

According to his coaches, Keith only started wrestling in 9th grade but now ‘lives and breathes’ wrestling and also puts in a lot work in the offseason. He carries a high GPA while also helping lead the wrestling team on and off the mat. In school, Keith is involved with the North Tonawanda HS Youth Activation Committee and Amnesty International clubs and is a leader within the hallways and classrooms.
