WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders: Wyatt Giarla

St. Joe’s junior Wyatt Giarla has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders for the week of Monday, December 8th – Saturday, December 13th, 2025.
Wyatt posted a 6-0 record in duals for the Marauders during the week including a 5-0 performance with five pins on Saturday at the Chargers Gold Duals at Cheektowaga helping St. Joe’s to a 4-1 record and 3rd place in the final team standings. The returning Msgr. Martin All-Catholic runner-up and CHSAA 5th place winner is currently 11-1 on the season with ten pins anchoring the lineup at heavyweight.
According to his coaches, Wyatt has become a team leader, leading by example while maintaining a humble attitude. He maintains a 2nd honors grade point average while working hard in the classroom to balance with volunteerism and athletics as he is also on the football team.
