WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by Hamburg Radiator Auto & Air: Zack Gibson

Williamsville East sophomore Zack Gibson has been selected as the WNY Athletics Boys Wrestler of the Week presented by Hamburg Radiator Auto & Air for the week of Monday, December 1st – Saturday, December 6th, 2025.

Gibson asserted himself on Saturday at the Dick Lang Memorial Duals at Royalton-Hartland going 6-0 to lead Williamsville North/East to the team title and 6-0 dual record in the Spartans’ first action of the season. Gibson did not accept a forfeit all day but maximized team bonus points in each dual by pinning all six opponents covering 165 and 175-pounds.

Zack’s coaches note that he is a hard worker and a dedicated-student athlete who carries a solid GPA. Although a sophomore, Zack is a team captain. He also participates in football and baseball at Williamsville East High School and is a returning 5th place winner from the 2025 Section VI Division I Championships.
