WNY Athletics Girls Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders: Nylah Sharpe

Falconer senior Nylah Sharpe has been selected as the WNY Athletics Girls Wrestler of the Week presented by D&E Dream Builders for the week of Monday, February 2nd – Saturday, February 7th, 2026.

Nylah went 2-0 last week and picked up head to head victories in both of the Golden Falcons’ dual meet wins. On Wednesday, Nylah earned a first period pin in Falconer’s win over Salamanca. Then on Friday, Nylah earned a crucial pin against Fredonia in the #9 Golden Falcons’ upset victory over the #4 Hillbillies, 33-31.

Nylah is a first year wrestler for the new Falconer/Cassadaga Valley girls freestyle team. According to her coaches, Nylah emerged as a leader on the team this year despite having not wrestled previously. She is a balanced student-athlete at Falconer High School carrying an honor roll GPA while also excelling at volleyball and softball.
