WNY Athletics Girls Wrestler of the Week presented by Hamburg Radiator Auto & Air: Jezell Allen

Niagara Falls junior Jezell Allen has been selected as the WNY Athletics Girls Wrestler of the Week presented by Hamburg Radiator Auto & Air for the week of Monday, January 26th – Sunday, February 1st, 2026.

Jezell played a massive role in Niagara Wheatfield/Niagara Falls’ victory in the 1st Section VI Girls Dual Meet Championships on Friday going 3-0 with three crucial wins by pin to help the Falcons to the title.

In Wheatfield’s thrilling 33-27 win over Niagara County rival Lockport, Jezell was a big winner by pin over a returning NYS tournament qualifier. Against Sweet Home, Jezell contributed to the 52-point team total with another pin over a returning top-3 Section VI place winner. Finally, in the title match against top seeded Chautauqua Lake, Jezell came up with another critical pin to seal the match for the Falcons with two bouts left in the dual.

According to her coaches, Jezell is always looking to improve on the mat and learn more about wrestling as a sport. She is eager to find ways to help like with coaching wrestlers at youth tournaments. Jezell carries a strong GPA while also holding a job outside of school even during the wrestling season. Jezell plans on pursuing an education to become an ENT physician in the future.
