Randolph freshman Caden Inkley has been selected as the WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week for the week of Tuesday, January 18th – Saturday, January 22nd, 2022.
Inkley earned a win in the Cardinals’ league victory on Wednesday and then went a perfect 5-0 with four pins and a 1st place deciding decision victory, 7-1, over a returning sectional place winner to capture the Gowanda Invitational 118-pound title on Saturday. Inkley’s placement also helped the Cardinals to a top five finish in the tournament team scoring. At 22-3 this season, Inkley leads the Cardinals’ in overall record and is a big part of the team’s 5-1 record and #8 ranking amongst WNY small schools.
Inkley’s coaches describe him as a self-motivated and hard working athlete who logs plenty of mat time outside of school as well. Randolph coaches also note that Caden is an honor roll student and is know for his humility and quiet personally.
