WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week: Jordan Joslyn

Chautauqua Lake sophomore Jordan Joslyn has been selected as the WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week for the second week of the 2021-2022 season (Monday, December 6th – Saturday, December 11th, 2021).

Joslyn had an undefeated week two, first collecting a win in the Thunderbird’s 46-27 victory over CCAA I rival Southwestern on Wednesday.

Then, on Saturday, Joslyn went a perfect 5-0 to help lead the WNY small school #3 Thunderbirds to a 3rd place finish and 4-1 team record on the day at the Cheektowaga Warrior Duals. The surging T’Birds defeated Section VI perennial power and current #4 big school Niagara-Wheatfield, 39-21, for the program’s first ever win over the Falcons. Joslyn collected a decisive technical fall in the Wheatfield match as well as a high quality pin over a returning CHSAA champion on the day.

Jordan is currently 10-0 this season while maintaining high honor roll grades and emerging as a leader amongst his teammates.
