St. Joe’s sophomore Luke Ventresca has been selected as the WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week Presented by G&G Fitness for the third week of the 2021 season (June 1st – June 6th).
Ventresca repeated as a Monsignor Martin All-Catholic Tournament champion on Sunday in the 55th edition of the annually held event going 2-0 with two pins on the day to earn a trip back to the CHSAA Championships. Additionally, Ventresca’s 1st place performance helped St. Joe’s achieve it’s seventh consecutive All-Catholic Tournament team title as well.
Ventresca helped the Marauders to back-to-back Monsignor Martin dual meet titles posting a 3-0 dual record between Wednesday, June 2nd’s tri-meet duals with St. Francis and St. Mary’s as well as the Friday, June 4th tri-meet event.
Luke also spent time this spring as a dual sport athlete on the roster of the St. Joe’s Monsignor Martin boys’ lacrosse championship squad.
