WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week: Willie McDougald

Niagara Falls senior Willie McDougald has been selected as a WNY Athletics Wrestler of the Week presented by G&G Fitness for the thirteenth week of the 2019-2020 season (Monday, 2/25 – Saturday, 2/29).

Willie claimed his second career NYS title on Saturday, February 29th in Albany. As the top seed in the 145-pound Division I weight class, McDougald dominated the field capped off by an 8-2 victory in the championship bout. McDougald will leave the Wolverines’ program as its all-time wins leader as well as its first and only multiple time state champion, also having earned five Section VI titles and four NYS place finishes over the course of his career.
