The Flyers built up an 18-6 lead at the half and pulled further away from Cheektowaga in the second half. Maryvale will move on and play Starpoint for the Class B Funke Bowl.


Connor Finnegan completed 5 of 7 passes for 55 yards and 2 TDs and also rushed for 153 yards and a TD on 9 carries. Dominic Daly rushed for 49 yards and a TD on 6 carries and caught 2 passes for 18 yards and a TD. 


The Chargers finish the season with an overall record of 3-6. Cheektowaga went winless in 2024 and had just one victory in 2023.

Non-League Game


Lake Shore 28, Frontier 14


The Eagles finish at 2-7 overall while Frontier falls to 1-8.


The Eagles were led by Tyler Kwilos who ran for 101 yards and a score. QB Cooper Hazard completed 8 of 9 passes for 126 yards.

The Spartans advance to the CLass B Funke Bowl Championship after routing Dunkirk at home. David Chase completed 11 of 19 passes for 153 yards and two touchdown passes. Victor Collins scored three rushing touchdowns.Ben Ely and Vinn Martin recorded sacks for Starpoint.


The Spartans will now take on the Flyers at Maryvale on Wednesday 11/5 at 6pm.

The Lumberjacks doubled up on the Falcons in the fourth quarter of the Funke Bowl semi final game and that turned out to be the difference. 


NT quarterback Andrew Cinquino accounted for 4 of their touchdowns, tossing three and rushing for another. Johnny Bertinin hauled in two scores and also intercepted a pass.


For the Falcons senior Chase Richards completed 13 of 24 passes and threw three touchdowns. Mason Meissner had 20 carries and finished with 120 yards on the ground.


The season ends for Niagara Wheatfield who finishes with a 2-7 overall record. 


North Tonawanda will host Hamburg on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs season continues as they beat last year’s Sec VI Class A champion Sweet Home on the road Thursday. 


The Panthers finish the season with a 3-6 overall record while Hamburg has a chance to claim the Class A Funke Bowl when they take on North Tonawanda next Wednesday.

It was an uneventful first half but an action packed 3rd quarter. 


Griffin Houde rushed for 162 yards and a TD on 13 carries for the Blue Devils, he also added 8 tackles on defense. Tanner Radovich had a touchdown and also intercepted a pass.


EA/Holland finishes at 2-7 while the Timberwolves go winless for the second straight year.

It wasn’t pretty but the Legends advanced after a hard hitting contest against the Wolverines. Lancaster’s Daniel Ahearn rushed for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns and also caught three passes for 66 yards in the win. On the defensive side Tim Kopacz made 6 tackles (4 solo) and had 4 sacks.


Michael Taylor, Niagara Falls quarterback threw for over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss. The Wolverines season ends with a 4-5 overall record. 


Lancaster (7-2) will take on Bennett next Friday at All-High Stadium.

After surrendering an early touchdown the Red Devils defense did their best to contain the Macks offense for much of the game. Certainly costly penalties didn’t help McKinley’s cause but in the end Kalaugn Ford rallied his team to a big win.


Ford rushed for 111 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown. Cardel Staples also had a big night for the Macks catching four passes including a highlight reel snag in the first half. Staples finished with 105 yards receiving and rushed for 96 yards on 8 carries and a touchdown. Anthony Moore III had 143 yards rushing and a score. Nazir Liggans had a pick on defense and Jamere Hill had 9 tackles and also scored a rushing TD.


Ryan Premilewski had a great game for Clarence, he scored both Red Devils touchdowns. 


Clarence finishes with a 5-4 overall record.

The Redhawks pulled away from the Sparks in the second half Thursday night in their opening playoff round match-up. Justus Kleitz threw five touchdowns to 3 different receivers. Nick Skutnik hauled in 2 TDs while Nick Ciancio, TJ Domino and Jackson Kwaizer caught touchdown passes as well.  


Paul Hurst had a great day for the Sparks gaining 81 yards rushing while making 8 tackles on defense and registered a sack.


South Park (4-5) season comes to an end. Iroquois (8-1) now waits to see who wins the Depew vs West Seneca East game on Saturday. It will be a home game for Iroquois, slated for Friday 11/7 at 7pm.

What an absolute slugfest this turned out to be. Portville gave Eden/NC everything they had and then some but it just wasn’t enough. Brady Waring was sensational, throwing for over 250 yards and 5 touchdowns and rushed for another. Silas Nellis caught 9 passes for 145 yards and three scores, his brother Isaiah had 77 yards receiving and two scores. 


Jake Ziegler rushed for 182 yards and a score for the Panthers.


Eden/NC will advance to take on the undefeated Southwestern/Frewsburg Trojan Bears next Friday down at Southwestern.


Portville (5-4) has been eliminated.

Medina struck first in this one, taking an early 7-0 lead but that was the wake up call the Trojan Bears needed. Trent Lewis was 5-of-6 passing for 122 yards and a TD. Lewis carried the ball 9 times for 114 yards and two TDs giving him 14 rushing TDs on the season.


Bradyn Fuller scored 2 rushing TDs and 110 yards rushing. Miles Torres scored a touchdown and also had an interception.


Southwestern/Frewsburg will welcome Eden/North Collins next Friday night for the right to play at Highmark Stadium.

They went to a running clock in this one as the Panthers continue to steamroll their way towards Highmark Stadium. They still have another game to go though as they wait for the winner of the Randolph vs Silver Creek/Forestville game scheduled for Friday night.
