Williamsville South Billies 

7-1 Overall, 7-0 in League Play

Solid on defense as they are on offense. They seem to be on a mission. The Billies are in rare form. It's been a while since they've been in this position.

The Contenders

Iroquois Redhawks

7-1 Overall, 7-0 in League Play

Feature one of the best passing games in Section VI. Justus Kleitz has full command of the offense, a 4-year starter who holds many school and Section passing records is poised to lead Iroquois back to Highmark Stadium.

West Seneca East

6-2 Overall, 6-1 in League Play

I’m sure they’d rather be riding into the playoffs on a winning streak but they’ll need to focus and put the last two weeks in the rearview mirror. This is a well balanced team on both sides of the ball.

Dark Horse

Pioneer Panthers

6-2 Overall, 5-2 in League Play

The Panthers have plenty of postseason experience still hanging around in that locker room. Isaac Platt is back, healthy and still one of the premier players in Class B. They are still a very respected bunch capable of hanging around.

Lackawanna Steelers

6-2 Overall, 6-1 in League Play

The sting from last year's semifinal loss slowly wore off during the season. They’ve won four in a row since the loss to Iroquois. The Steelers defense warrants attention. They don’t give up much, and if they’re going to advance they’ll need their defense to continue leading the charge. 

Depew Wildcats

5-3 Overall, 5-2 in League Play

Losses to Iroquois and Lackawanna give me some pause here. A good team that needs to find a way to beat the really good teams. 

Olean Huskies

4-4 Overall, 4-3 in League Play

Tough draw against a red hot Williamsville South team to start the playoffs. 

South Park Sparks

4-4 Overall, 4-3 in League Play

A very young team, they’ve been competing all season. If there’s a coach that can design a scheme against top quarterbacks it’s im Delaney and his coaching staff. But I don’t think they have enough offensively to compete for a title.
